Memorial Day

 Memorial Day wouldn't be the same without watching the parade in Holland. Derek's family stands in the same spot every year. :)

Indy 500

Derek went to the Indianapolis 500 over the weekend with his dad. He was a tad bit excited I think.

 It IS the Greatest Spectacle in Racing afterall...

 He took a ton of pictures and he could tell you all about them but I did see this photo he caught of Helio and Tony wishing each other good luck before the race! 

 Well, it didn't work for Helio, but he's got 3 wins already. Yay for Tony Kanaan!

Scrubba Dub Dub

 Poor kids, mom's posting bath pictures on the world wide web. 

 They just LOVE the tub though. I think it's more fun now that they have each other to laugh with and splash with. 

 Here's a good look at those teeth coming in. Four so far. Everything goes in his mouth right now!

Crazy Sleepers

We'll see if I can find some time to update this blog. :) I've lost some interest in it and there just always seems to be something more important to do than blog. Not to mention I haven't uploaded photos from my cameras in a few months... eek! Here's a draft that I found sitting in Blogger:

Abigail is searching for more independence (a nice way of saying we are in the middle of the Terrible Twos and approaching the Trying Threes!). Naptime and Bedtime are ALWAYS big fights. (sigh) if only she loved sleep as much as her daddy and mommy...

Riverbank Run

It was a pretty cold morning for the Riverbank Run this year. I was lucky to be able to watch Derek sans kids this year. It was just too cold and rainy to take the kids on the 5K walk so they stayed with Grandma. It was nice to have a "date". 

 Our complimentary beer (yay, they had hard lemonade for me!)

 After hanging out at Calder Plaza for awhile though we were frozen so we stopped to get some coffee (ok, and chai tea latte... I am high maintenance when it comes to beverages, huh?).

Tulip Time

30 Trips Around the Sun

It all started with breakfast in bed.

Then off to church.  

We grabbed some sandwiches and stopped at the beach for a lunch picnic. 

 My little man woke up.

 My princess gave my her best shot:

 A stranger took our picture.

 Then home for a nap (all four of us!).

Pack a picnic and head to the local park to play. 

Surprised to find all my friends and family there waiting to celebrate!

 Ate, drank, and was merry. 

 Thanks for organizing the bash, Sweetie!

(even if you had the easiest time of all, considering I SUGGESTED we eat supper and play at the local park where you'd already planned the party!)
