Winter Retreat

We went up north for the weekend. We played in the car while Derek shoveled it out for us (that way the cabin could warm up too!)

These two did a little sledding. She wasn't very fond of the "nose dive" but she was brave and Derek was patient and they continued to sled for quite awhile. 

A fire keeps us cozy (and on the lookout at all times!).

They wandered down to the river for awhile too and threw in snowballs, watching them float downstream.

Yes, he's "walking" around the house. Before I took this video he actually went around the entire table but he always gets camera shy then.

I had to help put the head on... that thing was WAY heavier than I imagined it would be. It's also harder to lift when you're laughing so hard...

Elijah was just too tired to stay awake until the end. 

3 Month Photos

I thought I'd try my hand at capturing my little man at his 3-month mark. It was hard to keep him smiling and looking at me with the sister getting in the way but here are my top 3 picks. 

January Thaw

Living in Michigan, right next to one of the  largest lakes in the world, gives us some pretty crazy weather. We had our first big snow which I blogged about on Monday. 

 Then by Tuesday we were enjoying an almost 60 degree day, complete with a lunch picnic outside (in the garage) and all the rain that came with it melted the snow away by Wednesday.

Then on Thursday we started 5 days of continuous snow (including another snow day). 

 Which led to my lame attempt at making a snowman. Okay, I basically found three larger clumps of snow from the piles I had shoveled... like I said: lame. 

GR Auto Show

Trying out a new 2-door Subaru

Derek and I enjoyed a Saturday afternoon walking around the GR Auto Show. I like going with my own little tour guide. He points out all the interesting things, tells me all the stats, and what MotorTrend thought of it. If I didn't have him with me, you'd NEVER find me at a car show. 

Trying to figure out what type of car Padnos has smashed up.
